Crochet: Burgandy Scarf

Here is one of the first scarfs I made without a pattern. It was completed in 2007 and it made from Caron One Pound Burgandy Acrylic yarn. This scarf was made up of rows of whatever stitch I wanted to do, so no pattern was used. It uses single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and triple crochet stitches. I am unsure of the hook size used, though it was probably a G hook.

Random Creations Update

Random creations I am working on currently:

Remember the little squares? Here are some of them bordered in black and they will all eventually be joined together to make an afghan.

More snowflakes! These are made with larger yarn then the last bunch, Red Heart Fiesta (color: Millennium).

If you remember the blue scarf I was last knitting, it is now completed and has moved onto its new owner before I even thought to take a picture. I plan to make another one like it, so look for it in the future.

Since I tried a "woven-looking" knitting stitch I decided to try out a "woven-looking" crochet stitch and use up some spare yarn at the same time. This is still a work in progress.

Random Creations Update

Random creations I am working on currently:

These small granny square blocks will be outlined in black yarn and then put together to form an afghan. Not sure who will be getting this afghan (for Christmas) and it is made from small amounts of yarn left over from other projects.

These will be part of Christmas decorations. They still need to have the ends tucked in, sprayed flat and dried before they are ready to be made into anything.

Blurry picture but it helps to see the pattern. This is one of the first actual patterns I have tried knitting and so far so good.
